(an hour ago)US President Donald Trump says Iran has asked him to reach an agreement.
Trump spoke from the Air Force One aircraft, which landed in Maryland after returning from Turkey, where he attended the NATO summit.
He said Iran “called earlier” and that “they really want to reach a” agreement, reports BBCPeriscope broadcast.
Yesterday Trump said that the truce has “to end” and that the talks are “time loss”.
As expected, Iranian authorities have not publicly confirmed Trump's latest comments.
Trump told Iran that “we hit it very hard” and that the US “tame has won militarily, they have very little”.
After also saying Iran has demanded an agreement, he added: “I just don't know if they deserve to make deals. I don't know if they're going to respect the” agreement.
