Murati: Any decision against former KLA leaders will have influence on political scene

Political science lawmaker Valon Murati has estimated that whatever the Special Court's decision to the former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, who are being tried in The Hague, will have influence on the Kosovo political scene.
Murati on the “Confront” show in KTV has said the greatest impact of course will have the Democratic Party of Kosovo even if they do not return to political life.
Another variable that affects the possibilities of change is what will happen to the decision of the Specialised Chambers in September, what will be the decision. But whatever the decision is, it will have an impact on the political scene, whether the leaders return. It will be important for If Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel return even if they don't get into politics, the impact will also be on the energy that will give their return”, Murati has said.
According to him, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has noticed the impact of Thaci's lack of Wessel because the new leadership has failed to produce dynamic politics.
“The PDK has been penalised since it received and this whole process, because it has not been able to create a leadership that would produce dynamic policy. It's not easy to lead in such a party when you know someone else is more important than you but he's not there. For Kosovo it is very important to be released, to our destiny for our history”, the Murati has outlined.
Murati has estimated, however, that whatever the Special decision, the Democratic Party of Kosovo must make a party consolidation. According to him, it is strange that this political subject will remain silent in all these political developments.
After Thaci's visit to The Hague, The PDK had chairman Memli Krasniqi. He later withdrew from the post, and after the internal elections, Bedri Hamza took the leadership.
New and regular elections have been warned in September of this year.
Meanwhile, 16 September has been defined as the date of declaring the verdict in the case against four former KLA leaders -- Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi. Similarly, the final date within which the decision was expected was 20 July.
