US President Donald Trump has announced he has extended his ceasefire with Iran.
In a post on Social Truth, he says the ceasefire will extend “until the time their proposal is submitted and the discussions ended, in one way or another”.
“Based in the fact that Iran's government has been seriously divided, not unexpectedly, and at the request of Feldmarschal Asim Munir and Pakistani Prime Minister Shephat Sharif, we have been asked to postpone our attack on Iran's State by the time their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified” proposal, he wrote.
Trump added: “Therefore, I have instructed our army to continue the blockade and, in all other respects, to remain ready and capable, and therefore I will extend the truce until their proposal is presented and to conclude discussions in one way or another.
Earlier, Trump said the ceasefire would end “Wednesday evening at the time of Washington”, though it did not give a specific time.
