He made these statements hours after US forces saved a team member who fell off an F-15 fighter plane.
The April 7th Tuesday will be Thermo power plant Day and Bridge Day, all in one, in Iran. Something like that has never happened before! Open that damn strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll live in hell, you'll see the”, Trump wrote in a post on his Social Truth platform.
The era of Trump ultimatums has changed several times in its recent posts on social networks, or in its interviews.
In an interview on April 5th for the American daily Wall Street Journal, Trump said Iran should open up the strait within two days or otherwise “will remain without the thermal power plants and other power plants that have them all over the state”. Initially, Trump has signaled that the deadline was 6 April.
Later he made another post: “ ”, without offering more details, reports REL, broadcasts Periscope.
Despite the threats, Trump has said in an interview in Fox News that Tehran is “currently negotiating” and believes there are good opportunities to reach an agreement in the next 24 hours.
I think there are good possibilities for April 6th. It's negotiating now. If an agreement is not reached soon, I am considering the destruction of everything and the taking of oil”, he has added.
Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bacher Qalibach has called on the United States to put an end to the dangerous “game”, halting the fight with Tehran.
Qalibaf, considered by some in the White House as a potential partner, has accused Washington through a social networking post on April 5th that it is making the “reckless steps” in conflict and that “the entire region will burn”.
Among other things, Trump has said the US has given weapons to Iranian protesters “across Kurds”.
“I believe the Kurds have kept them”, the American president added.
This has been reference to protests that erupted in late December in Iran, due to worsening economic conditions, before expanding in protests against the regime throughout the country.
Tens of thousands of Iranians have been killed or arrested in the protests, which have been crushed with iron hands by the state.
Trump warnings come as Iran has almost completely closed the Strait of Hormuz, from which it exceeds 20 percent of global oil and gas supplies. Eventually, energy prices have risen worldwide.
The United States and Israel's war on Iran has begun on 28 February. Iran has responded to missile attacks with fears against Israel and the Gulf states, and in some cases has targeted American forces and assets. /Periscope
