Tahiri: The process for unifying president was a political spectacle, without real consultation.

In the lobby of the Kosovo Assembly, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri has criticised the ongoing process of electing the president, calling him a “political perspective” without real restraint. “Actually nothing happened. Public consultation for a first - day unifying president has [...]
There's actually nothing going on. Public consultation for a unifying president from the first day has only been for public consumption, has been a political spectacle which has been kept on closed doors and the epilog was known,” said Tahiri before reporters.
According to him, throughout this period there has been no serious effort to reach a political consensus.
I never said that anything could happen other than this epilogue, because there has been no political consultation with finding a unifying president from the political subjects that have won the election,” he added.
Tahiri stressed that, despite meetings and public appearances, the process has been formal and not substantial, says Online Economy, broadcasts Periscope.
There have been closed meetings, exit entrances, conferences before journalists, but there has never really been a public consultation for a unifying president,” he said.
He raised concern about the lack of a figure uniting the political scene, adding.
Kosovo has the government, even the largest government in Europe with 22 cabinet members, but SKA president conveying a unifying spirit, he says.
Speaking of political developments, Tahiri said discussions among the parties have not been about the presidential post, but other issues.
The “has proved that there has never been any discussion about president, there has been discussion of whether to join or appear in government, which is not the subject,” he stressed.
Regarding the Kosovo Constitutional Court's decision, Tahiri described it as clear.
The decision is extremely clear, white and black, shows when it should go to the elections,” he said, adding that he expects the process to drag on by current power.
He also criticised Prime Minister Albin Kurti, saying his political strategy has failed.
Mr. Kurti's political “Blofi to put pressure on Kosovo's opposition has failed,” said Tahiri.
He reiterated his stance on the lack of a serious process for reaching a consensus.
There has never been serious political and public consultation to come to a unifying name. There was a farce, a show, now it's over, he added. /Periscope
