The Portuguese technician, who was appointed in early Ghana in April, led the team to third place in Group L before her adventure in the tournament ended with a loss of 1-0 to Colombia in the 1/16th phase of the final.
The 73-year-old departure soon ends his adventure with the"Blackpoint", as team leadership lasted only three months.
For Queirozin, this was the fifth consecutive participation in the World Cup as a coach, as it earlier led Portugal, Iran and Egypt to the largest football tournament.
His resignation comes within the framework of the first changes to representative benches after the end of their World Cup adventure.
