Reuters: US mulls suspension of Spain by NATO, following clashes on Iran issue

An internal email from the Pentagon presents options for the United States to punish NATO allies, who, according to them, have not supported American operations in the Iran war, including the suspension of Spain by the alliance and reviewing the US stance on Britain's claim of the Falkland Islands, an American official told Reuters.

Reuters reports that policy options are detailed in a document that expresses disappointment with the perceived reluctance or refusal of some allies to provide access, bases and flight rights known as ABO for fighting Iran, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe email.
