What is known so far?
A framework for ending hostilities has been surpassed by the US and Iran, Reuters says.
According to reports, the deal has “two levels”.
She says this is an immediate ceasefire, with a more comprehensive agreement that will follow later.
This echoes Axios' reports that mediators were discussing a 45-day ceasefire.
Pakistani, Egypt and Turkey mediators are involved in negotiations, according to Axios.
While Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir has been in contact with “all night” with US Vice President JD Vance, Reuters adds.
A senior Iranian official has ruled out the opening of Hormuz Strait as part of any temporary ceasefire, Reuters says, broadcast Telegraph.
These reports come after Donald Trump apparently set a new deadline for Iran to reopen the Hormuz Strait.
Unknown?
Iranian and American officials have yet to comment on the proposals.
So far there is no finding out any other specifics about the terms of an agreement.
For example, how some of the main points of war play a role so far - Hormuz Strait, attacks, nuclear enrichment.
Also unknown is how close the terms of this ceasefire plan reflect previous unsuccessful proposals such as the 15-point plan given to Iran in late March.
In addition, it is not known how Gulf countries in the region are represented that they have been subjected to numerous attacks throughout this conflict in a peace proposal.
And in the end it is not known if there is a deadline to respond to the parties. /Periscope
