In a Facebook post, Haxhiu indicated that “this responsibility would be exercised with full dedication, guaranteeing continued functioning of institutions and respect for constitutional order”. She also wished former President Osman [...] success.

Today I have taken office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Task Force.
The constitutional mechanisms we have built guarantee continued institutional stability.
I will exercise this responsibility with full devotion, ensuring the continued functioning of institutions and respect for constitutional order.
The Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo will continue the constitutional procedure for electing the new president within the constitutional deadlines. Until the conclusion of this process, I will exercise this task in full respect of the Constitution, law and public interest.
I thank President Vjosa Osmani Sadriou for her service to the country and wish them continued success.
