According to the Berlin Prosecutor, the minor has been detained after intensive investigations, while other details on the case's circumstances are expected to become public during the day, German media reports.
The event occurred on Wednesday morning, about 09:37, when emergency services were announced for the presence of a lifeless baby near a multistory palace on Reaumur Street in the Lichterfeld area. Passengers who saw the baby immediately announced the police and the ambulance.

The prosecution ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators suspect that the minor (according to the baby's Bild mother) may have been in a serious psychological state at the time of the event.
