In a Facebook party response, The PDK emphasises that the Meja massacre remains among the biggest crimes committed during the war in Kosovo, naming it as evidence of Serbian forces' genocide crimes against the civilian population.
“Today we remember 376 unarmed civilians, brutally slaughtered by Serb forces in Meja, Gjakova, on April 27, 1999. The Meja massacre is one of the largest massacres that have been carried out in Kosovo. It remains a permanent testimony to the genocide crimes of Serbian forces in our country. This massacre clearly shows who was the victim of the aggressor. The glory of Meya's martyrs!”, wrote PDK./Periscope
