Prattipati: Kosovo is the most pro-American country in the world, we knew this country would be US allies and partner

In charge of the work of the United States Embassy in Kosovo, Annu Prattipati, has thanked Kosovo citizens for supporting and befriending the US, claiming he does not recognise any other pro-American state in the world that is more pro-American than Kosovo.
In the festive manifesto “Thannk You USA”, organised by the capital on the occasion of July 4th US Independence Day, Prattipati said she feels privileged to be marking the 250th anniversary of American independence right in Kosovo.
I'm so excited and touched by the hospitality we've received this week, this month and actually all the time I've been here. On July 28th it's been two years since I arrived in Kosovo and it has been an extraordinary honor for me to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American Independence here. I think I am one of the most fortunate diplomats in the United States Foreign Service who had the opportunity to celebrate this anniversary in Kosovo”, she said, EO wrote. Transmitt Periscope.
Prattipati said that during her service in different parts of the world, she has not seen a people closer to the US than the citizens of Kosovo.
You heard me say it before, but tonight I say it with all my heart. I don't know any other country in the world and I've served and lived in many countries, but Kosovo is really the most pro-American state in the world. The people of Kosovo, I know the loyalty and connections, they are indestructible. The respect and closeness I've seen here are extraordinary. Everywhere I go, people thank me for everything the United States has done, and that has deeply affected me”, she said.
The American diplomat praised the activities organised in Kosovo for marking the US's 250th anniversary, saying they are evidence of a genuine friendship between two peoples.
Everything you've done here in this country to honor the United States has touched me enormously. This wave of love, closeness, gratitude, and thanks means much to the United States and to me personally. Being here to represent my country at such a special time is something I will never forget. I just want to say thank you, the people of Kosovo”, stated Prattipati.
She stressed that even the United States values and returns this trust and friendship to Kosovo, remembering US support for Kosovo statehood.
The U.S. “restores this proximity and loyalty. We knew in 1999 that Kosovo was ready to become a state. We also knew in 2008 that the time had come for Kosovo to be an independent, sovereign and multiethnic state to take its place in the international community. We knew Kosovo would be a partner and ally of the United States, and you have witnessed this in the last 18 years”, she said.
Prattipati acknowledged that there have been cases between the two countries when differences appeared, but stressed that they have not shaken the strategic partnership.
“Yes, we had disagreements and issues where we sometimes disagreed, but in general the United States and Kosovo have done so much together. We were partners, we shared values, and we did great things. We have seen Kosovo grow and have seen Kosovo support us in some of the most important issues in the world. Our ties are becoming stronger every day, and each year”, she said.
Charged with US work expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen in the future.
“We hope that in the next 250 years these ties will continue, not only because of the relationship between the two governments, but because of people like you who are here tonight. We see these cultural and human ties grow daily through exchange and co-operation programmes, and this is the strongest guarantee for the future of our friendship”, Prattipati added.
Pristina Mayor Progress Rama said Kosovo's friendship with the United States is not celebrated only on July 4th, but represents a value that is honoured every day. He stressed the gratitude of the citizens of Pristina and all of Kosovo for American support over the years.
“Pristina and Kosovo love you, they love the United States of America. And not only July 4th, but we actually celebrate our friendship with the United States of America and we are very grateful to have you here. All of us, of course, would like to give you a moment with all this wonderful public here to tell us about your time in Pristina, in Kosovo, and also to congratulate you on the 250-year anniversary”, Rama said. /Periscope
