Pay heed to your wife, arrest the police

IPK arrested a police official suspected of domestic violence
Pristina/Peje, April 6, 2026
Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK)>, respectively, investigators from the IPK Investigation Department have arrested a police official on suspicion that the same had committed the same criminal work “raped in the family”.
The IPK accepted information last night regarding the suspicion of a police officer (out of official duty) in Pec has committed domestic violence.
Immediately after receiving information, IPK investigators have responded to the call by interviewing the victim of this case, his wife.
Following several initial investigative actions, the competent prosecutor and the prosecutor's decision police official have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended.
IPK investigators in full co-ordination with the Prosecution will continue to take further investigative action towards full enlightenment of all the circumstances related to the case.
