A month's detention of members of the Kacanik war crimes suspect

Foundation in Pristina has approved the request of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK), assigning the extent of the 30-day detention to defendants A.D., under suspicion that he has committed criminal work “the crime cause against the civilian population” during 1999, in the village of Ivaj and the surrounding villages of the municipality [...]
So confirmed for “Justice Vow“, Mirlinda Gashi, spokeswoman for the Foundation Court in Pristina, broadcasts Periscope.
The defendant allegedly committed criminal acts as a member of the MUP in Ferizaj and traffic officer in the Kachanic region.
“According to demand, A.D., in the quality of the MUP member Ferizaj and traffic officer in the Kacanic region, in co-ordination with still unidentified persons of Serbian police, in 09.03.1999, during an organised military police action against the Albanian civilian population, forced residents to flee their homes, which were later burned and destroyed. While ninety-one (91) males separated from about four hundred (400) men, women, elders and children gathered, and were sent to the Kacanik police station”, the prosecution's announcement said.
13 of the civilians, according to the Prosecutor's Office, were detained, beaten, and subjected to inhumane torture by suspect A.D.
“According to the request, of them, thirteen (13) civilians were deliberately detained for questioning, with cases being beaten and tortured brutally, inhuman, physical and psychically by defendant A. D., causing serious bodily injuries to various parts of the body”, the prosecution reported.
