With deep sorrow, we received news of the life of American Congressman Eliot Engel.
In these moments of mourning, we express the most sincere condolences of the American people, and especially the citizens of New York, who represented it for 16 consecutive mandates in 1989-2021.
At the same time, we express our deep condolences to all Albanians around the globe who lost a great friend, a steadfast supporter, and a strong voice in defending their legitimate rights.
His precious contribution in strengthening relations between the United States of America and Albanians, as well as his continued commitment to justice, peace and human rights in the Balkans, will remain forever unforgettified.
