Oil prices rise following new US attacks on Iran and the restoration of sanctions

Oil prices rose significantly after the United States carried out new attacks on Iran in response to its attacks on commercial ships near the Strait of Hormuz, and restored sanctions on Iranian oil exports.
The introduction contracts for Brant oil, the global standard of reference, increased by 5.8%, reaching $76.2 per barrel at 1:00 according to the US's eastern time (ET). Meanwhile, WTI oil, the American standard, rose by 7.5% to $772.38 per barrel, reports CNNPeriscope broadcast.
The new escalation of tensions highlights the fragility of the preliminary agreement reached between the two countries, which have experienced repeated clashes over the past few weeks.
In response to recent US attacks, Iran accused the US of violating the memorandum of understanding between the two countries, pledging it would provide a key “devastating response”.
