Kosovo President, Vjosa Osmani, has announced that it has prosecuted constitutional amendments envisioning the direct election of the president by citizens in the country.
Through a public post, Osmani has indicated that the initiative comes after successive failures in electing the president to the Assembly.
Looking at successive failures in the election of President/species, I have just prosecuted constitutional amendments to direct president/it” in the country, Osmani wrote.
It has clarified that amendments in question were drafted earlier by the Commission for the Amendment of the Constitution in 2011.
