The Vetevendosje movement has nominated it for president of Kosovo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca.

Full Posting:

The 28 December 2025 elections, which resulted from a blockade over ten months, in addition to being held in the near term, also produced the most clear result in the history of post-war Kosovo. Citizens spoke strongly against blocking the state and in favour of establishing institutions.

In line with this result, without any delay two fundamental institutions of the country -- Kuwait and Government -- were formed, while the next process ahead is that of electing the president.

Given the political definitions of parliamentary subjects, as the winning subject, we proposed that the country offer a consensus candidate for president. For this reason, we repeatedly invited the largest opposition subjects to the meeting, with the aim of finding names and proposals about which we could build reconciliation for this position, for choosing the participation of at least 80 deputies in the hall.

Despite our insistence, we did not receive any concrete proposals from these subjects, and our offers with names were rejected.

Our political subject is convinced that in our country there are many worthy names for this important state position, about which a reconciliation could be built to move forward. At this stage, new elections would be completely unnecessary.

Under these circumstances, Movement V DEPENSE!, after all efforts to reach agreement, will propose for presidential candidate Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, former Speaker of the Parliament, deputy of seven legislatures and second most voted in the history of our Republic, Mr. Glauk Konjufca.

At the same time, we invite opposition subjects once again to propose a candidate. If you need additional signatures, we help you from our parliamentary group.

We are convinced that this challenge is imminent, elections are inevitable, and it is quite possible to find compatibility to move forward.
