According to the source, who agreed to speak only on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of information and private nature of discussions, the Pentagon's official request has already been forwarded to the White House.

This requirement is submitted at a time when the Department of Defence has already benefited a considerable increase in financing over the past year, which was included in the extensive tax reduction bill initiated by the Trump administration.

Until now, there is no official confirmation whether the White House has passed this specific Pentagon request for parliamentary review.
Even if the request officially reaches lawmakers' tables, its fate remains uncertain. Because of the stratemosphere value and political sensitivity the Iranian issue carries, it is not clear whether this proposal for additional spending will manage to secure the necessary two-party support to return to the law.
