Ministry of Labour, Family and Values of Liberation War has announced that families benefiting from the “Gren Energy Futurre” will not lose the right to social assistance.
According to the announcement, the project is financed by Denmark Government and applies by UNDP, in cooperation with Ministry of Economy i n Kosovo's Energy Efficiency Fund.
This project aims to help families in need through improved residential conditions and reduced energy spending. Interventions include the isolation of homes, the replacement of windows and doors, as well as the improvement of other elements that increase energy efficiency.
The ministry stresses that the benefit from these measures is not considered a change in the economic situation of households and, as a result, does not affect their right to be part of the social assistance scheme as long as the respective criteria are met.
Also, selected families have been encouraged to co-operate with relevant centres for completing documentation and implementing interventions so as to take full advantage of this project aimed at improving welfare and living conditions.

The Ministry of Labour, Family and Freedom War Values reports that families, which are currently benefiting from the “Gren Energy Futurre” project, funded by the Denmark Government and implemented by the UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund (FKEE), will not lose the right to social assistance due to the renovation of homes with energy efficiency measures.
The project aims to support more vulnerable families through improved residential conditions and lowering energy costs, including interventions such as house isolation, changing windows and doors, as well as improving activities and other elements of energy efficiency.
The profit from these measures is part of a developmental project and is not considered a change in the economic situation of households, so it does not affect their right to be part of the social assistance scheme as the family continues to meet the criteria for being part of the scheme.
The Ministry of Labour, Family and Freedom War Values encourages selected families to co-operate with the Social Work Centres and relevant institutions for completing the necessary documentation and implementing interventions that will improve their homes' energy efficiency.
This institutional co-operation aims to ensure that families in need benefit from measures that improve their welfare and living conditions.
