Democratic Party of Kosovo MP and the chairman of the Commission for Legislation, Progress Gruda, has challenged the government cabinet during a speech in the Parliament's speech concerning the procedure for adoption of constitutional changes in the election of the president.
Gruda has called on the government and lawyers to show another case in the world where preliminary control of constitutional amendments is now done, as adoption occurs after a decade.
The “E challenge everyone from the government cabinet, from lawyers who look at us if they find a place in which the preliminary control of constitutional amendments as it is in our case, becomes today and approval is called to take place after a decade and so on, I don't go out in this country for law”, Gruda said.
In conclusion, Gruda addressed the head of the Parliament for the delay of the procedure: he asked why after 14 years these amendments are being sent, while the Speaker of the Parliament asked him to address it to citizens rather than to citizens..
