British ambassador heads north to meet Serbian List, says they were constructive for the Foreign Law

United Kingdom Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargrees has held today a series of meetings in northern Mitrovica, which he has described as constructive and important for institutional and communitarian co-operation in this part of the country. Through a Facebook post, he indicated he has met with representatives of the Serbian List, as well as a meeting with the North Mitrovica municipality chairman.
Hargrees commended them for what he says a constructive role in reaching the recent agreement regarding the Law for Foreigners, encouraging them to continue their commitment to enable citizens access to their rights.
Likewise, the British ambassador also stressed the importance of co-operation for effective implementation of policies affecting citizens' daily lives, underlining the need for involvement and institutional responsibility.
“Today in northern Mitrovica I had a constructive exchange of thoughts with representatives of the Serbian List and a valid meeting with North Mitrovica Mayor. I commended them for their constructive role in the recent Foreign Law agreement and encouraged them in their commitment to help citizens benefit from their rights. I was also grateful for the opportunity to visit St. Dimitri's Church, where we talked with Father Djordje and won a deeper picture of the local community's prospects”, he wrote on Facebook.
