It is divided completely for employees who have turned 12 months, while those who have less than a year's work receive a proportionally part of the 13th salary.
The 13th public sector salary was promised by Prime Minister Albin Kurti during the campaign for the December 28th 2025 elections and is included in the 2026 budget.
