According to the Spanish daily newspaper “El País”, at least 500 human waste bags were found in Guadalajara, one of the three Mexican host cities within a radius of just 16 kilometers around the Akron Stadium, where four matches of the World Cup phase will be played in all.
FIFA is not yet taking with any real concern the recent escalations in Mexico:
Of course, we're closely monitoring the situation in Mexico right now. But we have full confidence in Mexico, in President Claudia Shanebaum and the authorities. We are convinced that everything will continue as best as possible”, President Gianni Infantino said.
