The union stresses that such suspensions seriously damage the police institution, which directly affects maintaining order and public calm, creating a lack of labor at police stations, as well as violating the authority and credibility of the security body.
“Would not want to interfere with the competencies and institutional independence of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, the Union, based on audio the recording published in the media and after full analysis of the event, has estimated that suspended police officials have carried out their duty professionally and in accordance with law”, it said in response.
As a result of the Union's announcement, police officials reportedly have been threatened with life at their workplace, at the police station, respectively, in the presence of police officials. A possible timing of attack on police officials is heard in audio recordings

There is also a doubt that published audio recordings are cut into parts and incomplete, disconnected from the suspect. Where under legislation, no unauthorized and nonauthorized audio recording by competent bodies can be considered legal evidence in any case, or in concrete case”.
Therefore, the Kosovo Police Union has called on the Police Inspectorate to review the decision and enable the immediate return to office of police officials, as it considers that they in this case have been victims of life threats from the suspect and have acted in accordance with the law during their duty's exercise.
