Police strike international organised crime, two people end up in handcuffs

Kosovo police have successfully realised an international extradition and another domestic arrest, within the context of fighting international crime.
“With the date of 10.02.26, in full co-ordination with German authorities, has been extradited from Germany to Kosovo by a Kosovo citizen wanted at the international arrest order”, said in the police report, IndexOnlene.
The extradited person was suspected of serious criminal acts and of avoiding justice.
“Extradition was made thanks to close inter-institute co-operation between the Republic of Kosovo and Germany. After arriving in Kosovo, the suspect was handed over to relevant police units for further legal procedures”, the report said.
Also, during the same day, Kosovo Police have arrested another internationally wanted foreign citizen on the country's territory.
The arrest was realised based on an international arrest warrant issued by several European Union states. The suspect is linked to suspicion of involvement in organised crime activities”, the report said.
At the decision of the competent prosecutor, the suspects have been assigned the 48-hour ban.
