In a report to the media, the ministry announced that since this morning it has been in constant contact with the authorities of the countries of the region through Albanian diplomatic representations.
Because of the temporary closure of airspace in Gulf countries, MEPJ urges Albanian citizens located in the United Arab Emirates to be careful, avoid unnecessary exits and follow local authorities' safety guidelines.
The ministry has also made available the emergency number of Albania's Embassy in Abu Dhabi for Albanian citizens in the country: +971 50 980 7881.
According to international media, Iran has conducted air strikes in Dubai, where a considerable Albanian community lives. The ministry ensures it is monitoring the situation to ensure the support and security of Albanian citizens. /Periscope
