“We condemn Serbian Minister Snezana Paunovic's statements, including references to Kosovo's ethnic cleansing. They are totally disgusting and have no place in today's” society, it says in response.
According to the FCDO, at a time when Western Balkan countries are focused on building a peaceful, stable and multiethnic future, such statements aim to reopen old divisions and foster tensions.
Responsible political leaders must reject such a clear language and unequivocally”, the statement further states.
The FCDO adds it has also noticed the distance of Serbian President Allexander Vuciq from the comments of Minister Paunovic./ Periscope.
