Haradinaj before American congressers: Time is now for Kosovo in NATO

Ramush Haradinaj of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo before the US congressers at the Capitol Hill has called for Kosovo's NATO membership.

Haradinaj said Kosovo has implemented the 10-year Kosovo Security Force plan for transformation into the military.

First, thank you for your support for Kosovo and its journey towards NATO. I can only bring you good news.

Kosovo has implemented the ten-year Plan for Development of its Army, in close co-operation with the United States of America. Our army, as well as other security institutions, is based on NATO and US standards.

We're ready to contribute to the security field. We are ready for NATO membership.
