For more than three years, at the Kosovo Agency for Prevention of Corruption, no property statements for Learta Hollijan, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani's cabinet chief.
According to a text published by the medium Vox KosovaHollaj has not declared property for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025, even though he holds one of the highest positions in the Presidency.
The Agency for Prevention of Corruption has told Vox Kosovo that the reason Holaj fails to figure out in the property declaration system relates to the fact that it does not own the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo.
“Based on paragraph 4 of Article 4 of the Law for Declaration, Determination and Control of Riches and Gifts, senior officials appointed by decision and who do not own citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo are not obliged to declare property”, the agency's response is said.
The last time Holly delivered a fortune statement was in 2022. However, Vox Kosova writes that even that year she has not declared family businesses, her role in them, and the revenues she benefits.
According to data provided by Vox Kosova by property statements in Montenegro, her father, Amir Holaj, has declared in 2022 numerous properties in Ulcinj, including apartments used for hotel activities, as well as companies from which they generate revenue. In these businesses, according to Vox Kosovo, there are also Learta Holaj, but they are not reflected in her statements in Kosovo.
The claims for benefits from family businesses are also reinforced by the declaration of her mother's property in Montenegro, it said.
Vox Kosova suggests he has tried to take a stand by Holaj, both through the presidency and through private contact, but has not received answers, despite waiting over a week.
Under the legislation in Kosovo, declarative subjects are obliged to declare even property that is in the name of parents if they benefit from it.
Learta Holaj is one of President Osmani's closest associates and has been part of her team since Osmani exercised the post of Speaker of the Parliament.. /Periscopi/
