In a post to social media, Trump said it would raise taxes on South Korea by 15% on a range of products, including automobiles, timber, pharmaceutical products and “all other reciprocal tariffs”, reports the BBC, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
Trump said South Korean lawmakers have been slow in adopting the agreement, while “n has acted quickly to lower our tariffs in line with the agreed Transition”.
South Korea says it has not been given official announcement of the decision to raise tariffs on some of its goods and wants urgent talks with Washington on the issue.
