Salaries above 1,000 euros: These are Kosovo's most paid sectors

At a time when the minimum wage is becoming 500 euros in Kosovo, some professions are becoming real engines of employment and well-being, especially for young people, exceeding over 1,000 euros.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

The IT and communication sector is currently the most paid in Kosovo and one of the most wanted. In recent years, a significant increase in this sector has been observed, especially among Kosovo youth, who are increasingly oriented towards the technology profession, even though the educational system still does not provide sufficient preparation for this area.

Although the country's economy has not marked any serious ups and despite small institutional support, the IPT represents a clear exception from this situation. The sector has achieved rapid access to the market thanks to the ability and credit of Kosovo professionals and innovators themselves.

According to recent measurements among technology companies in Kosovo, the average salary in this sector amounts to about 1,090 euros a month, while for more advanced positions, the salary often amounts to between 1,500 and 3,000 euros, especially for those working with foreign or remote companies.

In a debate on innovation and technology, Shpend Lila from the Kosovo Inovative Centre (ICK) has stressed that the growth of this sector is mainly organic, based on merit and creativity, not state support.

Another sector that has recognised tremendous growth in Kosovo is that of call cents, especially companies operating for German, Swiss and European markets.

The sector has created thousands of jobs and is offering competitive salaries for young people who own foreign languages.

In many companies, the basic pay in the call center is over 1,000 euros, while with monthly bonuses and performance, income amounts to 1,500,500,600 euros, making these jobs among the most paid in the private sector without necessarily demanding higher education.

In addition, investments in green energy have increased demand for electrical engineers, project managers and technical specialists. Salaries in this sector range from 1,200 to 2,500 euros, depending on experience and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the financial sector continues to provide stability and salaries above average. Financial managers, audiences, and analysts earn between 1,000 and 2,000 euros, while leading positions are even more.

In addition, as infrastructure and private projects increase, construction remains a strong wage sector. Engineers and architects on average earn 1,000,2,200 euros.

Along with that, doctors in both the public sector and separately in private, then lawyers and legal consultants earn over 1,500 euros, especially in clinics and private offices.

At a time when Kosovo is facing political crisis and lack of institutional stability, technology, call center and professional sectors are proving that it can be the real pillar of economic development. /Albinfo. ch
