Process towards end: Recount nearly 74 % of locations

According to the latest CEC update, by Tuesday's morning 1,887 deployments -- making up 73,80% of the total 2,557 deployments envisioned for the recount.

The process, which has been launched on January 13th, 2026, has already ended in 25 municipalities.

By the CEC it has become known that the work is continuing with full capacity, with the goal of closing as fast as the recount of remaining deployments.

The announcement of final results is expected to take place early in February, as after reviewing complaints that could be filed, it is expected to proceed with the certificate of results.

The CEC's decision on involvement in the recount of all polls came after a report by the recounting of more than 500 pollings, under which, in the votes of political subjects, identified changes are negligible, but by contrast, the records for candidates after the recount represent a high degree of incalculation.

The recount has found that 45 thousand and 709 votes have been added or removed during the initial count only in Prizren. Major ballots from the recount in Prizren took place in the PDK. This party's candidate for deputy, Fetah Pazizi, came out with more than 6 thousand votes.

In this regard, Prizren's Constitutional Prosecutor took action Friday, which ended with the arrest of 109 people.
