Police in the north find weapons again, Serbia Police shirts and other illegal means

The Regional Police Directorate in Northern Mitrovica, police officials from the director, respectively, during the conduct of regular police duties and continued contacts with citizens, have accepted information Wednesday that illegal vehicles could be found in an abandoned house in the Brdjana neighbourhood of North Mitrovica.

Regarding these information, police have taken immediate action, resulting in their search of an abandoned house found and seized many illegal means.

According to the police, there were found “A charger to empty for long arms; A dungite? plastic bottle filled with seqme; bullet capsule; The amount of powder; A military belt; A mine against infantry; Pieces for cartridges; Detonator for mines; Targets of the former militia vehicle; Three rounds of hunting gun; Thirteen rounds of different calibres; Two (2) shells of 12.7 mm calibre; Two (2) 20m calibre bullets; Two (2) calibre shells 12.7 mm; A winter military jacket; A pair of military gloves; and, four Serbian Police shirts”.

And since the evidence found is encountered with dangerous explosive material, at the site the unit for handling explosive tools (NJTME), which from the site has attracted the amount of powder, the 12.7mmm calibre bullets, as well as the 20mmmm, and the infantry mine with the detonator”, police reported.

Meanwhile, the State Prosecutor has been announced regarding the case, who has directed the initiative of the case for criminal activity “possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”.

In the report, there are no persons arrested in this case, while the case remains under investigation.

Kosovo police have thanked citizens for their co-operation and have invited them to have any information that helps maintain order and public safety report to the 192 emergency number.
