According to family members, Rasim Mehmet Koci was arrested by Serbian forces, later killed and his body disappeared.
After about 27 years of anxiety and uncertainty, its mortar remains have been identified and will be handed over to the family on Friday, January 30, 2026.
The Koci family is one of the families that has suffered serious losses during the war in Kosovo.
In addition to Rasim Mehmet Koci, this family has given two other martyrs -- Afrem Idriz Koci and Besim Idriz Koci -- who were brutally murdered on March 25th 1999 by Serbian paramilitary and military forces. Images for war victim Rasim Mehmet Koci will be held on 31 January 2026, from 12:00 to 1300, at the Palace of Culture in Gjakova, while the burial will take place at 13:30, at the Witnesses' graves in the Qabrat.
