The explosive found in Zubin Potok, police detail

Kosovo police have located and seized about 140kg of explosives in an uninhabited house in the village of Jaglenica, in the area of Zubin Potok.

Police Deputy Director for the Northern Region Veton Elshani has announced about Kosova Prees that the explosives were discovered during a routine patrol, as police units have accepted information that there could be illegal materials in that location.

“Comuna is in Zubin Potok, near a village, Jaglenica, in the area of Zubin Potok. Those 140 kilos, which have resulted in that amount, have been located in an uninhabited house, which is abandoned and cannot possibly be inhabited, so technically not okay. During routine patrols, law enforcement units have accepted information that there may be something illegal, entered and found this large amount of explosives,” said Elshani.

He has stressed that currently it cannot be confirmed whether the case has links to any other event, including the Banjska case, as investigations are still under way.

According to Elshan, Kosovo police do not intervene without reason in certain locations and in over 90 per cent of the cases act on reliable information for illegal activities. / KP/ Periscopi/
