According to ZERE leader Ymer Feyzullahu, reviewing tariffs could include rising or even lowering electricity tariffs depending on the cost of the system.
Fejzullahu made these comments after the meeting of the Energy Regulatory Office Board, which stressed that demand for electricity consumption has increased to a large category of consumers.
There is an increase in a large category of consumer growth, and so do we exceed the cost of import forecasts in relation to estimates or predictions that we have following during the tax process all of our licensed consumers have exceeded the cost of buying energy for the period that we are negotiating so far in proportion to what has been predicted since energy prices in regional markets have been achieved, and the price is even higher that has been envisioned during last year's tax process, the taryr has started in December and has ended in mid-April... There's a possibility we can say that it will be the next review of the fee in December of this year and then we'll see Z's staff. The RRE will look at the cost of the system depends on what the cost of the system will have access to growth, but the possibility of landing in case of savings is not ruled out. No arbitrary imperatives to have growth and discounts depend on the cost of the system”, Fejzullahu said.
IN April of this year, a decision was made to expensive electricity 16.1 percent, a decision that has entered into force on May 1st.
As for the liberalisation of the energy market, Fejzullahu stressed that there are already more than five suppliers with whom businesses have linked contracts for electricity supply.
He stressed that 40 per cent of businesses that have included the free energy market are supplied with electricity from KEK.
The number of suppliers that have contracted contracts to businesses that are obliged by law to market is more than five suppliers. At today's meeting we had three requirements for decision-making licenses, there are also two other licenses for mutually recognised supplies that we have signed agreement and understanding such as Albania and northern Macedonia. The only goal is to provide additional opportunities to connect contracts with these market suppliers and it is possible for the future to offer better prices and increase the number of suppliers... About 40 percent of the businesses are supplied by KEK”, Fyzullahu said.
Judicial decisions that have already emerged from the court for energy market liberalisation, ZERE leader Ymer Fejzullahu said they will respect these decisions not because they want to, but because they have legal obligation.
“Z THREE will respect each court ruling and respect each court decision. As for decisions involving market liberalisation both in the past and in the future, we have all respected them and we will all respect and pray for all businesses in this case since we don't want to respect these decisions, but it's legal obligation for our institutions... none of these decisions are in strict shape set by law”, Fejzu God stressed.
According to Feyzullahu, the decision to enter the free energy market for businesses that have over 50 employees and over 10m euros has been a decision made a year ago and that 3 months of time has been given to businesses to prepare for the process.
The decision was 1 year ago when we decided on the tariff was until 31 March and businesses. The ZER's latest decision to continue regulating tariffs for this category of consumers has been in force until 31 March 2025. The ZERE Board, with the aim of preparing, has also been given an additional time from two months until June 1st with the sole goal of being able to prepare because there is still suspicions that there will be delays this year even though we have warned them last year, even according to the decision that these businesses will be supplied with regulated tariffs by March 31st 20225251>, Fejzu God said.... Z RRE is not that he wants Z. The RRE is obliged by law and according to the commitment it has received in relation to EU institutions“, Feyzullahu said.
The head of the Energy Regulatory Office before journalists said over 90 per cent of consumers in northern Kosovo are supplied with market tariffs.
Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRE) has approved several requirements for licensing and authorisation for supply, production and self-consuming electricity.
