At the meeting they discussed specifics on security guarantees and the “preparation of each country to contribute”, the Ukrainian leader said.
He also met with special Trump envoy Steve Whitkoff.
In a statement after meeting with European leaders, Zelensky said: “We have the same vision that Russia is doing everything possible to stall the negotiations process and continue the war. ”
He added: “I would particularly like to thank President Trump for all his efforts to end this war and the willingness of America to offer support to Ukraine on its part. ”
It is noteworthy that in February, Trump rebuked Zelensky before the world media in the Oval Office for what the American leader described as a lack of gratitude.
Zelensky also said the 19th EU sanctions package on Russia is being prepared. EU chief Ursula von der Leeyen said earlier this is expected this month, writes Skynews.
