His position explained in an interview for ABC News, where he spoke about the war with the Russian state.
“Putin can come to Kiev... I cannot go to Moscow as my country is attacked daily by Russia. I can't go to this terrorist's capital. Putin also understands this”, he said.
Zelensky stressed that Putin's proposal views it as a way to postpone a real meeting.
“If someone does not want to meet during wartime, of course he can propose something that is unacceptable to me or to others”, the Ukrainian leader claimed.
We remember Putin made it clear that he is not planning to travel anywhere to talk to Zelensky, but is open for a meeting in Moscow.
