Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has reacted to Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin's statements for a possible meeting between the two leaders in Moscow.
In a clear and direct response, Zelensky said that if Putin does not want the meeting to take place, he is formally inviting him to Moscow.
If you want the meeting not to happen, invite me to Moscow,” declared the Ukrainian leader.
He added that the fact that Russia has begun talking about a meeting is a positive sign and opportunity for constructive talks.
Zelensky expresses readiness for dialogue, stressing that such a meeting could pave the way for significant progress.
We remember Putin has declared he is willing to meet Zelensky, but only in Moscow.
By contrast, Russia has begun its invasion of the Ukrainian state on February 24, 2022, causing thousands of victims and numerous material damage.
