This symbolic action is organised as a protest against non-compliance of institutions and political blockade in the country. Since the February 9th 2025 elections, Kosovo continues to remain without decision-making institutions, creating political and institutional vacuums.
The organiser of this action, Fatmir Bytyqi, said that already 26 days and nights is standing before the Kosovo Assembly.
He stressed that his aim is to know citizens never to vote the current MPs again.
I have now spent 26 days in front of the Kosovo Assembly in protest of not constitutionalising the most important institution in the Republic. My aim is primarily to convince citizens that these deputies will never be voted. We've had the case in 2014 when the Parliament hasn't worked for several months, now this is the second case. That's because we didn't know in 2014 to punish the MPs for their work, this situation is repeating itself. That's what citizens need us to educate the political class. These MPs never dare to vote again. It is not important which party is voted on, each of the parties LDK, PDK, VV, but these 120 names are not allowed to vote. They can't play with domestic institutions”, he told EO.
