In early August, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, through a media conference, announced that she has withdrawn the request she submitted to the Constitutional Court on 22.07.2025, in connection with the Kosovo Assembly Constitutional Union. According to her, the subject's rapporteur has been appointed Radomir Lyban, for whom he considers there are activities that pose a danger to the constitutional order in Kosovo, Periscopi explained.
Today, however, Osman changed his compass.
KPresident's Media Director Bekim Cupina Osmani announced that Osmani would submit its comments to the Constitutional Court on the issue of the constitution.
According to the analyst, Wisar Ymer, president Osmani must be careful in comments expected to send on 9 September.
Ymer emphasises that the Vetevendosje Movement is campaigning against the Constitutional Court, so if Osman of VV's associates, then according to analyst, this will be at the expense of the country.
” However, the fact that the president will also send comments to the GEK is good news in the sense of its commitment to this long institutional blockade, during which we have not always seen the president as involved.
By saying this, we need to consider that here we have a question that has to do with the Parliament, and it's a sensitive issue given the LVV v's vicious campaign against DGK with a pronounced dose of nationalism with clean electoral intentions. If the president becomes part of this campaign through her comments, I think it causes damage to Kosovo's constitutional and institutional integrity”, he said.
Ymer faced criticism against Osman over the indiscretion needed for attracting questions at the time when the Parliament faced a major blockade, as parties faced a major blockade. P DK, LDK, AAK did not vote on VV candidate Albulen Haxhiu for Speaker of the Parliament.
The President never made it clear to us what the reason for the withdrawal of the question he had put on before when the Parliament couldn't even vote the mayor. At that world she had questioned her withdrawal with the presence of one of the Constitutional members, Mr. Radomir Laban, viewing this as a danger to state interest. The same one continues to be in GEK”, he's gone.
Last week, the Constitution imposed temporary measures until September 30th, preventing elected deputies from taking action.
He also banned the development of any procedure to form a new government.
This measure was established in an ex officio and on the basis of Serbian List deputies' request. /Periscopi/
