President Aleksandar Vuciq accused Croatia, Albania and Kosovo today of creating a military alliance “against Serbia”, but confirmed that the Serbian Army is strong enough to prevent any potential aggressor.
“It was no coincidence that Pristina, Zagreb and Tirana formed a military alliance. And they didn't do it because of Austria, Hungary or Slovenia, but because of Serbia... Why are you forcing us to pretend we're dumber than we are? We're not fools who don't understand why you did,” told the media in Beijing, Beta agency reports.
Vuciq did not say which alliance he was referring to, but was probably referring to the declaration of defence co-operation signed by Croatia, Albania and Kosovo in March.
The document says co-operation aims at stability and security in Southeast Europe, support for the Euro-Atlantic road and strengthening the alliance of three friendly countries.
Vuciq said Serbia “will not touch anyone”, but is strengthening its army to protect its territorial integrity.
We'll have a military parade on September 20th, so you'll see a lot of new things and you'll be surprised... The Serbian Army is now an obstacle to any aggressor”, he said.
