Today, the fifth issue of the weekly Koha newspaper for Pristina -- the initiative of the capital's mayoral candidate, Ura Ismaili. Unlike past numbers, this edition has eight pages and brings a broader content for the challenges and concrete solutions for Pristina.
The main title of this number is the “People's Pristina, not concrete”, which addresses the problem of planless construction that has overwhelmed the city, and the solution proposed by Ismaili to convert public space into community function.
On the second page, under the title “Pristina in urban crisis”, analyses the fact that over 60% of residences in the capital are outdated objects, while public infrastructure continues to degrade. In this context, solutions for restoring functional urban life in the capital are provided.
The following pages contain concrete plans for some of Pristina's main neighbourhoods and villages: Dardania, Hyvalia, Sun Coast, Bardosh, and Trima Hill.
There is also an editorial written by human rights activist Adelina Toplica Badivuk in the form of a letter to Ismaili Bridge, where she shares her experiences and expectations for needed changes in the capital.
The last page contains traditional newspaper features: crossword puzzle, cartoon, and section “Forgettable”, preserving the spirit of a classic newspaper.
