Ukraine attacks oil refinery in Russia

Ukraine has attacked at least two major oil refinerys within Russia including one located 1,400 miles away from front lines as Romania reported violating its airspace by Russian fears, several days after the other state NATO, Poland, said Russian fears entered the territory [...]

Officials in the region of Kontostan, deep inside Russia, said on September 13th that there was a fire broke out in one of the largest state oil refinerys found in the town of Ufa. According to officials, the fire broke out after the fragments of the two drones fell into the building.

The drop of the two drones fell into the space of the” building, Radiya Khabrov, head of the Russian region of Unitostan, wrote in Telegram.

In the first case, a small fire that broke out quickly disappeared. In the second case, water supplies” were cut short, he said, adding that the building continues to operate.

Ufa Airport temporarily suspended work after the attack.

Three hours later, Alexandr Drozdenko, governor of the Leningrad region, said the Kirish oil refinery had also been hit by fragments of Ukrainian drop-down fears that caused fire on the morning of 14 September.

Drozdenko said there are no injuries from this case. This refinery was also hit by Ukrainian fears in March 2024 when it caused half of its production to cease.

Russian officials also said that a Ukrainian-dance attack hit a “industrial construction” in the Perm region, near the Ural Mountains, more than 1,500km from the Ukrainian border. But there are still no details.

The Reuters agency reported that Ukrainian attacks by the end of August had taken out 17 per cent of the Russian oil processing industry, threatening that fuel shortages would increase and give a major blow to the Kremlin budget due to the loss of oil revenues.

Ukraine has intensified attacks on infrastructure related to the Kremlin war, in response to continued Russian attacks on cities of civil infrastructure in Ukraine.

“We are doing everything we can to reduce Russia's ability to fight”, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at his address Saturday evening.

Our deep “visited will intensify funding and tasks for this are already in force. Diplomats are also actively working with all partners to reduce their trade reports with Russia. And we're coordinating our” actions.

These statements came after US President Donald Trump on 13 September called on NATO members to stop buying Russian oil, saying such an act would help end the deadly conflict in Ukraine.

Trump proposed that NATO states set secondary tariffs of 50-100 per cent to China for the purchase of Russian gasoline, suggesting that such tariffs would be removed when the war ended.

Meanwhile, Romania's Defence Ministry said this NATO state's airspace was violated by a Russian fears during a Russia attack on infrastructure in Ukraine.

Defence Minister Ionut Mosteanu told Radio Free Europe that later you stepped out of Romanian airspace and entered Ukraine's. He said two Romanian F-16s were up in the air with detected fears. Later, they were replaced by two German Eurofaster Typhoon drones.

On September 10th, at least 19 Russian fears entered Polish airspace, raising tensions between NATO and Moscow. On September 12th, the Western military alliance launched East Roya, a mission aimed at strengthening the protection of member states that were near Russia. / REL/ Periscopi/
