Netblocks, a global internet monitor, said on Monday that access to online platforms including X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Whatsap have been restricted to numerous networks in Turkey.
Netblocks, said the deadlock of the approach came as the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) called for gatherings after police set up barricades in areas around the party headquarters in Istanbul, records the telegraph.
According to data from Turkey's Association of Freedom of Expression, which monitors local censorship on the internet, access problems began at 20:45 on Sunday.
Turkey's Union of Access Offerers, responsible for implementing decisions on blocking the internet, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on restrictions. /Periscope/
