Former US President Donald Trump has declared that a peace agreement is “more than much near”, calling the moment potentially one of the most important days in civilization's history.
During a statement to the media, Trump said he is working closely with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah to achieve peace in the Middle East, Time.net reports, conveys Periscope.
This is probably one of the biggest days ever in civilisation”, Trump stressed.
However, Trump stressed that Hamas' accession is not yet guaranteed.
“If accepted by Hamas, this agreement envisions the release of all remaining hostages immediately, but in no case later than 72 hours,” he said.
“Today is a historic day for peace,” has declared Trump.
He said that, along with Netanyah, a meeting where the main theme was halting the Gaza conflict was, while adding that they are formally presenting a peace plan with 21 principles, which, according to him, “people have truly expressed consent to”.
