The Government Commission for Missing Persons has announced that today, starting at 10:00, in the village of Kozhle, near Novi Pazar, inspections will be held on the ground, in terms of the location assessment, due to doubts about the existence of a mass grave.
According to this commission, this development comes as a result of continued demands under delegation meetings and dialogue to whitewash the fate of missing persons during the war in Kosovo.
We show that this case has been scheduled to be addressed last year, but after several days of field preparation, the excavations were interrupted. The location in Kozhle is one of the locations repeatedly addressed during official meetings, in addition to continued calls for a priority return to Batajnica and other already targeted” locations, the report said.
The Government Commission for Missing Persons said their repeated request remains that excavations on the ground should be accompanied by data from the relevant archives of Serbia's institutions, which reportedly would help determine the site of the mass grave and provide the necessary evidence for the full whiteening of the case.
“Land assessments in this location will also be forwarded by representatives of the Kosovo Republic Delegation, the Government Commission for Missing Persons and the Institute for Legal Medicine” respectively.
The pain of families who for more than two decades expect an answer to the fate of their loved ones is the open plague of our society. Every step toward the dawning of the truth is a step toward righteousness, toward lack of peace and human dignity. The Government Commission for Missing Persons will continue to work with dedication and persistence, until the full whitelight of each missing person's fate” is said to be further in the statement. /Periscopi
