The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova has filed a request for the appointment of the detention measure to a person with the V.K. initials, suspected of attempted murder of another person with R.B. initials.
The event took place on September 14, 2025, about 11:00, on the outside of a coffee shop on “Washington” in Gjakova, where, according to the Prosecutor, the suspect, after a disagreement with the victim, has stabbed him several times in different parts of the body.
According to the official report, the victim was first sent to the Regional Hospital emergency “isa Grezda” in Gjakova and then transferred to KKUK for further treatment due to severe injuries.
The prosecution has made it known that there is no doubt based on the V.K. has committed criminal work “attempted genocide” by Article 172 related to Article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The defendant has been arrested immediately after the incident and is in a 48-hour ban, while the prosecution has requested a 30-day detention assignment from the Court./Periscopi/
