In his address, Mayor Totaj praised the Bosniak community's contribution to the city of Prizren and beyond, stressing that this day is evidence of the tradition of interethnic harmony.
I have a special pleasure today, along with the citizens of Recan and the entire region of Zhupa, to mark Bosniaks' Day. Sebilji's opening in the centre of the village is a symbol of the unity and Bosnian tradition, which enrichs the more cultural mosaic of Prizren”, Totaj said.
He added that Prizren is an example of coexistence over the centuries:
The Bosnian community has given and continues to make a valuable contribution to the culture, tradition and development of our city. Prizren is more prosperous thanks to the diversity and harmony that unites us all”.
Finally, Mayor Totaj congratulated citizens:
We're having a September 28th Bosnian Day! Let us continue to cultivate jointly the values of respect and unity, which are our greatest force”.
